Lay the shorts flat on a hard surface and smooth out any wrinkles. Measure straight across the waistband, from one side seam to the other. Double this number to determine the total waist measurement. - 2HIP
With the shorts gently laid flat, measure straight across the fullest part of the hips — typically positioned 18 to 23 cm (7 to 9 inches) below the waistband. Measure from one side seam to the other, then double the measurement to determine the total hip circumference.
