One sewing machine at a time
Bigardini began in 1960 with a single sewing machine.
The founder was a master leather tailor. He opened his own atelier and built from there, machine by machine, artisan by artisan, decade by decade.
For many years, the work stayed behind the scenes. Leather pieces made to the highest standard, for some of the most demanding names in luxury. The craft and experience accumulated quietly.
The names were known. The work not yet.

Step one
Cutting
Patterns are drawn by hand. Each hide is chosen for its grain, weight and character.

Step two
Stitching
Each seam is set by machine, then checked and finished by hand. Every line is intentional.
Step three
Finishing
Edges are burnished. Lining is set. Hardware is placed by hand. The moment a piece becomes a Bigardini.
What we stand for
How our principles take form
Leather
Nature's first garment.
Still unmatched. Sourced as a by-product and transformed with precision, our leather holds its structure, softens with wear, and develops character over time.

Suede
A softer expression of the same material.
Suede is the nap side of the hide: the same material, opened up. It reads softer, but wears with the same integrity. Over time it develops a patina specific to how it's been used.
Shearling
Material and lining, in one.
A single hide, tanned with the wool intact. The wool regulates temperature and allows moisture to escape. No synthetic layers. No added membranes.
